9/11 Blogger Tributes

While I want the 2996 9/11 victims to be specially commemorated on blogs on the fifth anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, I don't feel comfortable making such a tribute. The two people I knew, Marion Britton and Andrew B. Jordan, have been assigned and I can't get myself to make a tribute to other victims for fear of sounding insincere, shallow, and platitudinous.

Update on Pakistani Terror Plot

During their search, police officers found some martyrdom tapes of the suspects in the terrorist plot to blow up ten U.S.-bound airliners. This parallels the actions of the 9/11 hijackers, who made tapes of their last will and testament in which they spewed virulently anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-Israeli, and anti-Semitic slurs.

Good Running Shoes

If you are looking for good running shoes (excluding flats), buy the New Balance Zip 8505 (NB Zip). I bought a pair last week and they are unlike any shoe I've used before in terms of all-around cushioning, stability (sturdy to help with technique), comfort (excellent fit), and energy return (they minimize fatigue).

The Single Best Exercise

Swimming in the ocean is the single best exercise because it works all of the muscle groups while having no impact on bones/ligaments/tendons/joints, and burns a good amount of calories. The salt water is an elixir for several skin problems by drawing out toxins. You get Vitamin D from the sunshine.
